The relationship between Don Quixote and Sancho Panza is interesting. Quixote seems to be more of the dominant figure in this relationship. However Quixote still relies a lot on Panza. This means that even though they are from different wealth or position they still rely on each other which show a real relationship. They always disagree on certain things because Quixote is quite different from Sancho in the sense that he is not as realistic. Although they seem to look up on each other, they seem to respect each other. I think that they need each other. I say this because it seems like Quixote needs Sancho for advice and help with small simple things, because of his stubbornness he might not admit it, but he does. Quixote can be very stubborn sometimes. When he was very convinced that the windmill was a giant, he did not even listen to Sancho’s warnings. He could not admit until he saw with his eyes. They have parts where they bond and sometimes they are in total disagreement. Also Sancho seems to admire a bit of how Quixote acts towards things. He seems to be more in control and is able to protect and I think that is what Sancho likes about him that he stays with him for comfort. They do good for each other and complement each other. I would say their relationship is unique and complex.
